Two distinct graphics card models have now aligned in price. The RTX 4070, which was initially introduced at $599 and later replaced by a more advanced SUPER variant at the same price, is now available for $499 for the first time. Unlike the discontinued RTX 4070Ti and RTX 4080, the RTX 4070 continues to be produced. Therefore, this price drop is an official reduction by a retailer and GPU manufacturers, not a clearance sale.
Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 7900 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition), which initially launched in Asia last summer for $649, was later introduced globally by AMD at a reduced price of $549. This re-launch coincided with NVIDIA’s release of the RTX 4070 SUPER, and the original RX 7900 GRE model saw a price cut to $549.
Newegg has set the price for its GIGABYTE RTX 4070 GAMING OC V2, a second revision of this model. Meanwhile, the RX 7900 GRE on sale is ACER’s NITRO Model, which was only introduced this year.
Newegg’s Fantastech offers include deals on both the RTX 4070 and Radeon RX 7900 GRE. Additionally, the RX 7900 XT has been reduced to $649 for the first time. So far, no other retailers have matched these price cuts.
